A WELCOME BEFORE YOU
Why Island of White Light? The British Isles in former times were known as Albion, which it has been suggested can be interpreted as ' the place of light'. A number of web sites relating to Scotland convey very much the same thoughts, that Albion was a special place, even that Jesus came here as a child to learn.
The British Isles are known for places like Stonehenge and Silbury Hill, and Cornwall and the Arthurian legends. But there are many other parts of this island of light, complete with standing stones and other points of interest, which are thankfully not overcrowded by tourists. Also there is the natural beauty of the land itself, an inspiring at times, gentle on the eyes and mind at others.
Then there is the recent discovery in Lincolnshire of geometric patterns over the land, a Pentacle such as the one found at Rennes Le Chateau (which is known from the film The Da Vinci Code), plus many other geometric shapes imprinted on the landscape.
White is her principal colour, the colour

the New Moon is the white goddess
of birth and growth;
the Full Moon, the red goddess
of love and battle;
the Old Moon, the black goddess
of death and divination.
The three standing stones, according to Robert Graves, thrown down from Moelfre Hill near Dwygyfylchi in Wales in the iconoclastic seventeenth century may well have represented the Io trinity. One was white, one red, one dark blue, and they were known as the three women. The local monkish legend was that three women dressed in those colours were petrified as a punishment for winnowing corn on Sunday.
MOELFRE stones Dwygyfylchi. Three standing stones, red, white and blue', formerly here, were three women turned to stone for winnowing corn on a Sabbath morning; the colour of each stone was that of each woman's dress. http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/forum/?thread=1 7295&message=202140
